What Velenyro does

The short version, in plain words.

What is Velenyro?

Bring your income, spending, debts, and housing plans together. Velenyro organizes the numbers, builds your budget, and keeps your next steps clear. It is a money companion: it shapes guidance for renters, first-home planners, mortgage holders, mortgage-free owners, students, student-loan borrowers, people preparing for retirement and retirees, while the full plan stays available. You confirm and decide; the app does the entering, converting, and calculating where it can.

Can I use Velenyro today?

The iPhone app is first. An Android app and a connected web app are planned.

How much does Velenyro cost?

Pricing will be announced before launch.

Does Velenyro give financial advice?

Velenyro provides planning and learning guidance. It does the math and suggests practical next steps using widely used financial-planning methods. A qualified professional can help with tax, legal, and investment decisions.

How the Automatic Money Plan works

What the app calculates, and where every number comes from.

Where do the numbers come from?

From what you enter, what you import from a file you reviewed, or what Velenyro calculates from those two. Income comes from your pay dates and take-home pay. Planned spending comes from your budget lines. Income minus planned spending leaves the extra that can go toward debt. Every figure can be traced back to one of those.

How is the debt-free date estimated?

Velenyro pays your debts in the order you chose. Each month, minimum payments continue and the extra money goes to the first debt. When a debt finishes, its payment rolls into the next one. The month the last balance reaches zero is the estimated debt-free date. Change any number and the date moves with it.

How is my next step chosen?

From a fixed list, in this order, using only your numbers: missing debt details, then income, then spending, then a short pay period, then spending that uses all of the income, then the first debt in your payoff order. The step updates whenever your plan changes, and the app shows the reason next to it.

What does “What changed” show?

When a spending category is higher or lower than last month by a meaningful amount, Velenyro names it, shows both amounts, explains why it matters, and offers a choice: try a smaller amount, move the difference toward debt, or keep the current plan. The calculated effect on your debt-free date comes from the same payoff engine.

Can I try a change without changing my plan?

Yes. Try a change compares a different monthly spending or debt payment against your saved plan and shows the effect on the date and the interest. Your saved plan stays the same until you change it yourself.

Manual entry

Typing it in yourself is always available.

How do I add income?

On Income, choose Add income source. Enter the take-home amount, how often it arrives, and a recent payday. Velenyro places future paydays on the calendar. Choose Add pay to record pay that already arrived.

What if I have no income right now?

Choose Start at $0 on Home or on Income. Velenyro records that choice, creates no job or payment, and lets you carry on with spending and debts. The debt-free date waits for income. Add income whenever it arrives and the plan updates.

How do I add spending?

On Budget, choose Add spending. Enter what the money is for, the amount, and how often you pay it: each week, every two weeks, twice a month, each month, every three months, or each year. Velenyro converts it to your pay period and keeps it in the plan.

How do I add a debt?

On Debts, choose Add a debt. Use the balance, interest rate, and minimum payment from your latest statement. You can add debts before income or spending.

Document uploads

Files are a shortcut you can choose. You review everything first.

How do I upload a pay stub?

Open More, then Import pay stubs, and choose a pay stub saved as a text PDF. Velenyro reads it on your phone and shows what it found. Check the result, then accept it to add the pay to your history and your budget. For a scanned image, enter the pay details by hand.

How do I upload a bank or credit-card statement?

Open More, then Import a bank statement, and choose a supported statement: a text-based PDF, an XLSX spreadsheet, or a CSV, OFX or QFX file downloaded from your bank or card. Velenyro reads it on your phone, points out likely recurring entries and regular pay, and remembers where you send each merchant. Review every row, then apply. Anything unclear is held for you to check. Statement imports work with CAD and USD, and you choose the currency if it is unclear. For a scanned or photographed statement, type the amounts in by hand.

How do I correct a transaction?

Before applying a statement, change the Goes to choice on any row, or untick it to leave it out. After applying, open Budget, choose More options, and edit the amount on the line it went to. Pay you recorded can be edited on Income under Pay history.

Privacy and local storage

What the current test app does with your information.

Where is my plan stored?

In the current private test, your plan stays with the app on your phone. You can export it as a file, and you can erase all of the app’s data from Settings. On the current test phone, deleting the app also removes its data.

Does Ask Velenyro send my numbers anywhere?

The guided answers in the app are calculated from your plan, on your phone. They work without a network connection. The guided answers on this website are written in advance and have no access to anyone’s numbers.

What is planned?

The iPhone app is first. An Android app and a connected web app are planned. We are designing an optional account so one plan can be available across your devices. We will explain what is stored, who can see it, and how you can erase it before this capability opens.

Income, spending, debt and mortgage planning

The four parts of a plan, and how they connect.

How do income and spending connect to debt?

Income minus planned spending is the extra that can go toward debt each month. Spend less in one category and the extra grows; the debt-free date moves closer. Velenyro shows that link on Home and in Try a change.

What does mortgage planning do?

Mortgage planning shows what information a lender may ask for and calculates a planning estimate from published rules and the answers you give. A lender provides the final lending decision. Velenyro provides a planning estimate.

Can Velenyro read my credit report?

A credit-report PDF the app can read prepares your debt balances for review. You add interest rates and minimum payments yourself, from your statements, because a credit report lists balances only.

Housing and life plans

One plan that fits your situation. In the app, tell Velenyro whether you rent or own and what you are planning for, or skip it; every screen stays available either way.

I rent. Can Velenyro still build my plan?

Yes. Renting is a complete plan on its own: we put rent and other housing costs under Spending, and the usual budget and debt steps follow. Buying a home is a separate choice you can add as a planning focus whenever you want it.

How can we prepare for my first home?

Start from a complete monthly budget and a Savings line, then use the mortgage planning estimate when you want it. The readiness figure comes from published rules and your answers. A lender provides the decision; Velenyro provides a planning estimate.

How does Velenyro help with my mortgage?

Your mortgage payment sits inside your budget, beside your other debts, with the mortgage planning estimate one tap away. Renewal and refinance figures are planning estimates from the details you enter. A lender provides the decision.

My home is paid off. What should I include?

We include your ongoing housing costs: property tax, home insurance, utilities and upkeep. They go under Spending at the rhythm you pay them, and Velenyro converts each one to your pay period.

How can we plan for tuition and school costs?

We put tuition, mandatory fees, books, supplies, transport and housing under Spending at one of the rhythms Velenyro lists, from each week to each year, including every three months. For a term bill, divide the term total by the months it covers and enter that amount each month; Velenyro converts the listed rhythms only. Scholarships, grants, family support and part-time pay go under Income at the rhythm they arrive, and Start at $0 works when nothing is coming in yet. Your school and loan statements are the source for amounts and due dates.

How do we include my student loans?

We add each loan as a debt: the balance, the interest rate and the required payment from your loan statement. The payoff engine orders them with your other debts. Repayment programs, assistance and tax treatment depend on your lender and your situation; your loan provider is the source for those.

How can we prepare for retirement?

Velenyro organizes what you earn, spend and owe today, so you can see what remains each month. It is a picture of today’s money. A qualified professional can help with tax, legal and investment decisions, including retirement income.

How do I plan when I am retired?

We start with the money you receive, whether a pension, a benefit, a regular draw or anything else, at the rhythm it arrives. Then we add essential spending, housing costs and any debts, and Velenyro shows what remains. A qualified professional can help with tax, legal and investment decisions.

Supported planning frequencies

Enter amounts at the rhythm they happen. Velenyro converts them.

Which pay frequencies can I use?

Each week, every two weeks, twice a month, each month, or irregular pay that you record as it arrives. Each income source keeps its own rhythm and its own pay dates.

Which spending frequencies can I use?

Each week, every two weeks, twice a month, each month, each pay period, every three months, or each year. Velenyro converts the amount to your pay period and says what it did.

Can I view my plan by week, month, quarter or year?

Yes. On Home, under Your numbers at every rhythm, choose each week, every two weeks, twice a month, each month, every three months, or each year. Velenyro converts your monthly plan for you.

Ask Velenyro Guided in the app

Guided answers from your own numbers.

What can I ask?

Where is my money going. What changed this month. What should we review next. How was this number calculated. What happens if I spend less here. How can we improve the debt plan. And how to add income, spending, a debt, a pay stub or a statement, correct a transaction, change the planning rhythm, or see how the next step is selected.

How are the answers made?

Each answer is calculated from your plan or drawn from the app’s own help. Answers are labelled Help, Explanation, or Scenario so you always know which kind you are reading, and each one can open the matching screen.

Is it a chatbot?

It is a guided list of questions with deterministic answers. There is no free-form conversation and no outside model.

Planned bank connectivity

What is available today, and what comes next.

Can I connect my bank?

Bank connections are planned. In the current private test, you can add a supported bank or credit-card statement and review the transactions before saving. Your bank login stays with you.
